The Use of the LPC Residual Error Autocorrelation to Pitch Period Extraction

The determination of the fundamental frequency or pitch period of voiced human speech plays an important role in the analysis and synthesis of a speech signal. The present . paper compares some procedures of the fundamental frequency measuring based on modifications of the autocorrelation function (AGP) and on the ACP of the LPC residual error signal.
