First International Conference on Spoken Language Processing (ICSLP 90)
This paper will first propose the universal timing measure and then will show how language specific rhythmic constraints are brought about from this universal timing instrument. Argument will be built up on the neuropsychological facts which were found by five experiments using as subjects a patient with infarction involving the forebrain commissural fibers, children with age variety from one year and half to nine years old as well as normal adults.
