Vocal Pauses in Teaching: Statistical Analysis and Applications

The distribution of pauses in universitary lesson is presented. The aim of this study is the definition and specification of a system for voice-data interpolation on switched telephone networks. The results obtained shove to the realization of a transmission protocol and a hardware architecture achieving the target. This paper gives an overview of the studied approach; some suggestions for different applications and further improvements are also provided.
