ISCA Medalist Nominations for 2020
Nominations are open for the ISCA Medalist 2020.
The ISCA Medal for Scientific Achievement recognizes and honors an individual each year who has made extraordinary contributions to the field of speech communication science and technology. Any ISCA member can make a nomination. All nominations for ISCA Medal of the year should be submitted to the ISCA Secretary at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by 15 December 2019 using the nomination form. The ISCA Board will select the winner by 1 February and announce the winner in the March 2020 ISCApad. Unsuccessful candidates of the previous year(s) must be re-nominated to qualify for candidacy.

General Assembly 2019
The ISCA General Assembly will take place in Graz, Austria in conjunction with INTERSPEECH 2019. The Assembly will begin at 17.00 (5pm) on Monday, September 16 and will be held in the Main Hall. The General Assembly is open to all members of ISCA and provides an excellent opportunity to actively participate in the meeting and propose suggestions to help make our association even better.

The ISCA Board are looking forward to welcoming you to Interspeech 2019. Tutorials are on 15th September with the main conference kicking off with the Opening Ceremony on Monday 16th September followed by the keynote speech from the ISCA Medalist for 2019, Prof. Keiichi Tokuda.
Please join us for the ISCA General Assembly on Monday 16th September at 17:00 to hear about innovations and progress within our association and to have the chance to have your say on future developments. We'd love to see you there.

- Interspeech 2019 innovations:
- Survey Talks: this Interspeech, mini survey talks will be given that are integrated into the technical program. These are expected to encourage our ISCA members to expand their “comfort” space and go to areas outside of your main specialization!
- Childcare: Support will be organized in three different ways, first by offering a flexible childcare facility, second by organizing an INTERSPEECH 2019 parenting community, and third by implementing an INTERSPEECH 2019 policy for babywearing and breastfeeding.
