ISCA Fellows Nominations for 2020
The ISCA Fellows Program recognizes and honors outstanding members who have made significant contributions to the science and technology of speech communication. To qualify for this distinction, a candidate must have been an ISCA member for five years or more with a minimum of ten years experience in the field.
Nominations may be made by any ISCA member. A nomination should be supported by 4 references from ISCA Fellows or ISCA Board members. Current ISCA Board members are not eligible for nomination. The Fellows nomination form can be downloaded from http://bit.ly/2lwjfFr and the reference form from http://bit.ly/2iMJUNo. Nominations should be sent to fellows_nomination@isca-speech.org by February 10 2020.
Those who plan to make a nomination are strongly advised to send a brief email to fellows_nomination@isca-speech.org. giving their candidate's name and affiliation.
Special Sessions and Challenge Proposals due 16 December 2019
Submissions of Special Sessions & Challenges proposals are encouraged for INTERSPEECH 2020, covering interdisciplinary topics and/or important new emerging areas of interest related to the main conference topics. Submissions related to the special focus of the conference, Cognitive Intelligence for Speech Processing, are particularly welcome. Apart from supporting a particular theme, special sessions may also have a format that is different from a regular session.
Special session proposers are invited to submit a proposal via email to the Special Session Chairs Zhiyong Wu (Tsinghua University), Tim Fingscheidt (Technical University of Braunschweig ), Bhuvana Ramabhadran (Google), Yongguo Kang (Baidu), Pengyuan Zhang (IOA, CAS) at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. no later than Monday, December 16, 2019. Please do not hesitate to ask before submitting your proposal if something is not fully clear to you. Notification of pre-selection is scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, 2020. Final acceptance will take place shortly after paper decisions are completed, depending on the number of accepted papers submitted to each special session.

ISCA Medalist Nominations for 2020
Nominations are open for the ISCA Medalist 2020.
The ISCA Medal for Scientific Achievement recognizes and honors an individual each year who has made extraordinary contributions to the field of speech communication science and technology. Any ISCA member can make a nomination. All nominations for ISCA Medal of the year should be submitted to the ISCA Secretary at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by 15 December 2019 using the nomination form. The ISCA Board will select the winner by 1 February and announce the winner in the March 2020 ISCApad. Unsuccessful candidates of the previous year(s) must be re-nominated to qualify for candidacy.
